Cognitive Behavior Therapy: the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors….

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) recognizes that emotions are difficult to change directly, therefore it focuses on changing patterns of thinking and behavior that are behind people’s difficulties, thus changing the way they feel. CBT works to cultivate an awareness of thoughts and emotions; identify how situations, thoughts and behaviors influence emotions; and improve feelings by changing negative or dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors. Scientific research has demonstrated the use of CBT to improve anxiety, depression, relationship problems, eating disorders, and addictions.
